To celebrate the 25th birthday of Classic FM we were commissioned to bind a special presentation book to be given to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales at a special event held at Dumfries House earlier this month.
The volume, a specially printed copy of the manuscript of Parry’s Bridal March from The Birds of Aristophanes, was bound in red goatskin. Hand sewn headbands, water silk endpapers and gold tooling on both the cover and on the inside of the boards.
The completed volume was housed in a handmade drop spine box, again lined with water silk.
“Working with Carronvale to produce a unique gift for His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales was a pleasure from start to finish. Tight deadlines and a relaxed brief was no barrier in producing a product of exceptional quality – especially at short notice. Carronvale’s meticulous approach to detail prior to printing, coupled with their obvious expertise in the area, assured us that the product would be produced without fault. On arrival of the book we had high expectations, but on unwrapping these were quickly surpassed. The end product is as much a work of art as an historical document, and one which we were proud to present to His Royal Highness on the occasion of Classic FM’s 25th birthday. We would have no hesitation in recommending Carronvale Bindery, and look forward to using them for such future events.”
